On the way up to Switzerland, we stopped in Milan. Jess knew about the cathedral there and since we had a two hour connection we hurried off to go see the cathedral during our layover. What a detour! This cathedral had so many spires that it looked like a porcupine. It was very dark inside, but long stained glass windows were glowing with beautiful scenes. Definitely on my favorite cathedral list now! Oh--the weird thing was all of the pigeons outside in the square. They were flying all over. Crazy pigeons.
